Hyundai Auto Canada continued its record-setting momentum in July, supported by strong demand for key models across its lineup. The month also marked a significant milestone in the company’s electrification journey with the launch of a new seamless in-app charging experience, making public EV charging more convenient and accessible for Hyundai and Genesis owners.

Hyundai Canada sold 13,897 vehicles in July, led by the TUCSON with 4,017 units. The ELANTRA followed with 2,525 units, while the KONA rounded out the top three with 2,264 units sold. Demand for Hyundai’s electrified lineup remained strong, with 556 KONA Electric models and 312 units of the IONIQ 5 sold during the month, reflecting continued consumer interest in the brand’s expanding EV portfolio.

Demonstrating its commitment to innovation, Hyundai Canada recently launched seamless in-app charging through Hyundai Bluelink®, streamlining the public charging process by enabling EV owners to locate, access and pay for charging sessions all in one place.

‘Our record July results reflect the continued confidence Canadians have in the Hyundai brand’ said Steve Flamand, President and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada. ‘From strong demand for vehicles like the KONA Electric and the IONIQ 5 to new innovations that make EV ownership easier, we’re focused on delivering the products, technology and experiences customers value most.’

Genesis recorded 805 units sold in July, marking the best July in the brand’s history in Canada, led by the GV70 with 527 units sold. The GV80 also delivered significant year-over-year growth, up 12 per cent compared to this time last year with 173 units sold in July. Looking ahead, anticipation continues to build around upcoming future hybrid variants of the GV70 and GV80, as well as the highly anticipated GV90 flagship SUV.

These additions will reinforce Genesis’ growing appeal among Canadian luxury consumers and underscore the brand’s commitment to design, innovation, performance and advanced electrification.
