Ram 1500 claims the top spot in the Large Light Duty Pickup segment in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, earning the segment’s highest score with its combination of capability, comfort, technology and performance.
‘The Ram 1500’s No. 1 finish comes straight from the people who know our trucks best — our customers,’ said Tim Kuniskis, head of American brands and North America marketing, Stellantis North America. ‘They know what they want from a truck, and they know when one delivers. With the HEMI® back, TRX now shipping to customers and Rumble Bee on the way, Ram is giving them more choice, more attitude and more reasons to be excited.’
The 2026 Ram 1500 delivers serious power and capability, backed by a premium interior and a deep roster of advanced features. It offers the most available towing technology features ever on a Ram 1500, more than 50 inches of combined available digital display viewing area and more than 100 standard and available safety and security features.
The Ram 1500 is assembled at the Sterling Heights (Michigan) Assembly Plant on three shifts by UAW-represented employees. More than 2 million trucks have rolled off the line since 2018.
The JD Power APEAL Study looks beyond traditional measures of vehicle quality to capture how owners feel about their vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership. Across 37 attributes, from design, comfort and technology to the response and exhilaration felt behind the wheel, the study examines the experiences that shape emotional connection and excitement among owners of new 2026 model-year vehicles.
