Mazda has announced pricing and updates for the 2027 CX-90, with one major change: the CX-70 is being phased out in the U.S. as a two-row configuration joins the CX-90 lineup. Instead of offering two similarly sized crossovers, Mazda is consolidating both under one nameplate, giving buyers more seating flexibility.

Pricing starts at $39,700 for the CX-90 3.3 Turbo Select and reaches $57,970 for the Turbo S Premium Plus, while plug-in hybrids start at $50,695. All models receive a revised rear suspension crossmember for improved ride comfort, while PHEVs gain additional electric-motor insulation to reduce noise.

The CX-70 originally served as the two-row alternative to the three-row CX-90. For 2027, that configuration moves to the CX-90 Premium Sport and Turbo S Premium Sport trims.

Buyers can choose eight-passenger seating with a third-row bench, seven-passenger seating with second-row captain’s chairs, or the new two-row layout. The latter includes one-touch folding second-row seats for easier cargo access.

Mazda says the consolidation simplifies shopping while preserving flexibility. The CX-90 also retains its IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation.

The base 3.3 Turbo uses a turbocharged inline-six producing 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque on regular gasoline. It pairs with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance and an eight-speed automatic transmission, with trims priced between $39,700 and $50,670.

The CX-90 PHEV combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor and 17.8-kWh battery, delivering 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft on premium fuel. Electric-only range reaches 27 miles, with Sport, Off-Road, and EV driving modes. Prices range from $50,695 to $58,700.

The range-topping 3.3 Turbo S produces 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft on premium gasoline, dropping to 319 horsepower on regular fuel. It offers Sport, Off-Road, and Towing modes, plus up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity with Mazda accessories.

The two-row Turbo S Premium Sport starts at $53,540, compared with $54,740 for three rows. Turbo S Premium Plus pricing tops out at $57,970.

Four colors join the lineup: Navy Blue Mica, Aero Gray Metallic, Melting Copper Metallic, and Zircon Sand Metallic, each costing $595. The latter two are exclusive to two-row models.

Premium Sport trims gain standard Alexa Built-In, while Premium Plus models receive Mazda Online Navigation. Higher trims offer a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus up to six USB-C ports.

Destination charges add $1,645, or $1,690 in Alaska, to listed prices. With the CX-70 eliminated, Mazda now offers one midsize crossover with three powertrains and seating configurations tailored to different buyers.
