If you grew up playing Street Fighter II, you probably remember the bonus stage where you had 40 seconds to beat the living daylights out of a perfectly innocent car. Now, someone has taken that pixelated victim and turned it into a real, drivable Lexus LS400. And yes, the car is up for grabs. Insurance company The General teamed up with Vehicle Effects, the company led by Fast and the Furious car builder Dennis McCarthy, to recreate the iconic sedan. Unveiled at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, the build looks remarkably close to its video game inspiration.

The car is based on a 1994 Lexus LS400, from the first generation of Lexus’ flagship sedan. In its new life, though, this Lexus looks like it escaped straight from an arcade screen. A pixelated vinyl wrap recreates the game’s graphics. But the builders didn’t stop at sticking a fancy sticker on a Lexus and calling it a day. The grille surround, mirrors, and door handles also get chunky, block-like designs to match.

Inside, the seats have been reupholstered, with headrests embroidered “YOU” and “WIN.” There’s even an arcade-inspired coin-slot change holder that doubles as a seat warmer. Underneath it all, the original 4.0-liter V8, automatic transmission, chassis, suspension geometry, and safety equipment remain factory. This isn’t some wild engine-swapped show car. It’s a Lexus LS400 dressed up as the car that spent decades getting punched by video game characters.

The Winner Gets Cash, Too

The General is giving the Lexus away through its Street Fights: Bonus Stage Break sweepstakes. The prize includes the car and $25,400.69 in cash, for a total advertised value of $95,116.94. That values the Lexus itself at $69,716.25, which is a lot of money for a 32-year-old LS400. The car has approximately 83,797 miles, a clean title, and is awarded as-is. Entries opened on October 3, 2026, and close on November 18. It’s one entry per person, open to licensed drivers aged 18 or older who are legal U.S. residents. Residents of several states, including Alaska, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, and Washington, are excluded.

Just Try Not To Destroy It

Here’s the funny part about recreating a car famous for being destroyed. In Street Fighter II, players earned points for every bit of damage they inflicted, turning an ordinary luxury car into one of gaming’s most memorable punching bags. Let’s hope the winner appreciates the irony. After all, spending years smashing this Lexus in an arcade was one thing. Winning one in real life and immediately introducing it to a sledgehammer would be a rather expensive way to chase a high score.
