Hyundai heads to Watkins Glen International looking to build on its strong start to the season following a successful outing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, where the manufacturer secured a double-podium finish and placed three entries inside the top four. With victories already recorded at Daytona International Speedway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Hyundai enters the Watkins Glen round of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) leading both the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ TCR Championships.

Hyundai enters Watkins Glen with 1,340 points and continues to prove the consistency of its program, with four entries currently ranked inside the top five of the Drivers’ Championship standings.
At the forefront of Hyundai’s title charge is the No. 33 Hyundai Hope on Wheels Elantra N TCR of Mason Filippi and Bryson Morris. The Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) pair leads the Drivers’ Championship with 1,180 points and carries a 20-point advantage into Watkins Glen.

Hyundai enters the weekend as the defending IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ Champions and will look to continue building on the momentum of a program that has remained a fixture at the front of the field throughout the season.
