Autotrader praised Ferrari on the bold new direction taken with the Ferrari Luce, with Autotrader’s YouTube Director Rory Reid remarking: ‘The Ferrari Luce topping our Most Anticipated New Car category before it was officially revealed shows just how powerful Ferrari’s legendary appeal remains with UK drivers. What stands out is the level of excitement for a fully electric model from a brand historically defined by its combustion engines – it signals a real shift in how consumers are viewing performance and electrification.’
Ferrari’s Andrea Binotti, Head of Vehicle Concept Design and Architecture, joined the ceremony in London to accept the award.
FERRARI LUCE
The Ferrari Luce is the highly anticipated, next-generation full-electric sports car from the Maranello marque and represents a completely new breed of Ferrari. Built on a dedicated platform with four electric engines and a high degree of system integration, it delivers performance that is typical of the brand, together with a level of everyday versatility and user-friendliness unprecedented in a Ferrari. Designed in collaboration with Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson at the creative collective LoveFrom, the car features a singular design language that unites the exterior, interior and interface with clarity and refined simplicity.
The Ferrari Luce broadens the Ferrari range rather than replacing any existing model, offering more choice and attracting new customers. It is the most versatile Ferrari ever, with four-wheel drive, four doors and five seats, and has been conceived to be enjoyed to the fullest at the wheel, pushing Ferrari driving thrills into an entirely new dimension.
Ferrari Luce introduces a series of cutting-edge technical solutions, including all-new in-house electric architecture and advanced control systems such as Torque Shift Engagement, which offers a completely new torque-management philosophy with multiple selectable power and engine-braking levels to create continuous driver interaction between deceleration and acceleration.
Ferrari Luce also debuts a completely new take on sound. Rather than generating artificial noise, the car’s acoustic character is drawn directly from its mechanical architecture: a sensor on the rear axle captures the natural frequencies produced by the rotating components and electric engines, which are then amplified and brought into the cabin – in a way that recalls how an electric guitar uses an amplifier – to further strengthen the emotional connection between car and driver.
Like all Ferrari production sports cars, the Ferrari Luce is provided with a 4-year warranty in the UK and a 7-year Genuine Maintenance service package that covers all routine maintenance costs for the first seven years of the vehicle – which is also transferable to subsequent owners. Ferrari Luce also benefits from a dedicated 8-year warranty covering key electric powertrain components. For more information about the Ferrari Luce, please visit ferrari.com.
