Chevrolet and Nike Team Up with Devin Booker On ImpalaInspired Sneaker Collection
Today, Devin Booker and Nike announced the Book 2, a new four-sneaker collaboration inspired by Booker’s collection of vintage Chevrolet Impalas. The first sneaker, ‘Pretty Penny,’ will first be available through an early release in Detroit during the Woodward Dream Cruise, as an ode to vintage cars and classic car culture.
Building upon last year’s sold-out Book 1 collection, inspired by Booker’s classic Chevy Blazers, this year’s collection draws inspiration from his own vintage Impalas, and deepens the connection to Booker’s Michigan roots and lifelong love of Chevrolet.
The first drop, ‘Pretty Penny,’ takes its color scheme from Booker’s 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible, the vehicle that started Booker’s classic car obsession. Each design in the Book 2 collection mirrors one of Booker’s Impalas, matching the paint color and integrating subtle details like tongue tops that match each vehicle’s hood ornament. Each sneaker design features the model year of the car that inspired it (’58, ’59, ’62, ’63) and more. The collection also includes a ‘Heartbeat of America’ T-Shirt, inspired by the iconic ’80s and ’90s Chevrolet anthem. Sneakers come in a custom box inspired by Chevrolet’s mid-century vintage Accessories packaging, reimagining its kraft-paper constructions, bold teal-and-orange graphics and oversized lettering.
‘I’ve been a lifelong Chevy fan and I truly love adding classic cars to my garage, The Library,’ Booker said. ‘Bringing together my Michigan roots and my passion for Chevy makes this project really special.’
The ‘Pretty Penny’ sneaker will be available through an early release in Detroit on Saturday, August 15, during the Woodward Dream Cruise, followed by a global release on August 26. Woodward Dream Cruise is a world-famous one-day celebration of classic car culture, bringing people together to watch thousands of vintage automobiles drive along the historic Michigan boulevard.
The remaining three shoes in the collection will become available in December 2026.
Fans in Detroit can go on SNRKS Pass on August 14 to reserve their shoes ahead of the limited drop. Winning entries can pick up their sneakers at Burn Rubber on Saturday, August 15th (512 N Main St #102, Royal Oak, MI 48067).

On August 15th, Booker’s ‘Pretty Penny’ will be one of around 40,000 vintage cars cruising Woodward Avenue in Detroit. Each year, the Woodward Dream Cruise draws participants from across North America to gather in Metro Detroit to drive a 16-mile stretch of historic Woodward Avenue.
