The 2027 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship schedule is set, with 17 races running from January to May. The season begins January 9, 2027, with its traditional Anaheim 1 round, held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, and comes to a conclusion on May 15, 2027, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 17-round series will visit 16 cities in total across 13 states, which is fairly average for our domestic Supercross championship. Since the Monster Energy SMX World Championship launched in 2023, the 17-race Supercross series has formed the first part of a 28-race season that continues with the AMA Pro Motocross Championship through the summer months.

Justin Barcia (51) has concluded his time with Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing. Barcia is slated to continue campaigning in the 450 Class aboard the Suzuki and Pipes Motorsports Group.

Two new venues will host Supercross for the first time: the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on January 30 and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 10. The schedule also brings the series back to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida; Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts; MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey; and Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Daytona International Speedway hosts Round 9 on March 6, with tickets for that event sold directly through the speedway. FanFest, the race-day paddock festival where fans can meet riders and see their bikes and team rigs up close, is planned for every round except Detroit on February 20.

450SMX Class

Germany’s Ken Roczen returns as the reigning Supercross champion. He headlines a field that includes fellow champions Jason Anderson, Jett Lawrence, Chase Sexton, and Cooper Webb, along with 2026 runner-up Hunter Lawrence. Former Main Event winners Justin Barcia, Aaron Plessinger, and Malcolm Stewart add depth, while Haiden Deegan, who moved up to the 450 class for the 2026 Pro Motocross season, makes his 450 Supercross debut and Belgium’s Lucas Coenen arrives for his first full U.S. season.

250SMX Class

The 250SMX Class will again be split into Eastern and Western divisions, each crowning its own champion. Cole Davies returns as the defending Eastern Divisional Champion, while newly crowned SMX World Champion Levi Kitchen leads a deep group of former Main Event winners chasing their first Supercross title, including Max Anstie of Great Britain, Julien Beaumer, Pierce Brown, Seth Hammaker, Chance Hymas, Cameron McAdoo, Jo Shimoda, and Nate Thrasher. Lucas Coenen’s twin brother, Sacha, also makes his U.S. debut in the class after winning the Southwick National as a guest rider last summer.

Tickets and How to Watch

Chase Sexton, a 2-time 450 Class champion, has left Monster Energy Kawasaki and has not announced a ride for the 2027 season.

Registration for the preferred-customer ticket presale covering all 28 SMX rounds opened October 6 at 10 a.m. ET at SupercrossLIVE and Pro Motocross.

The 2027 broadcast schedule has not been released yet. We will update this story accordingly. During the 2026 season, NBC Sports streamed every round live on Peacock, with coverage also airing on NBC, NBCSN, and NBC Sports digital platforms. SMX Video Pass is the series’ official streaming service.

Three postseason rounds, the SMX Playoffs and World Championship Final, will follow Labor Day weekend. Their cities and venues will be announced in January.
