The new celebration-edition Royal Enfield Classic 650 combines the familiar old-school British motorcycle silhouette with a special paint finish that shifts between red, green, and gold depending on the way light falls on it. That sums up Royal Enfield’s way of celebrating one and a quarter-centuries of existence, except this won’t be a regular production model with a special lick of paint. The 125th anniversary edition Classic 650 will be available in limited numbers globally. The changes are purely cosmetic. It continues to use Royal Enfield’s proven 650cc parallel twin platform, which has managed to carve a reputation thanks to its mechanical simplicity and accessible twin-cylinder performance, while delivering the character expected from a middleweight retro motorcycle.

The limited-edition Classic 650’s headlining feature is a bespoke Hypershift paint job that changes its appearance as light moves across the motorcycle’s surface. Usually reserved for hot rods and show cars, this paint job reveals deep reds, greens, and gold shades, giving the Classic 650 a dramatically different look from its usual retro-inspired paint schemes, and making the anniversary model stand out without messing with its popular, recognizable silhouette.

The choice of finish reflects Royal Enfield’s long history. A brass colored base pays homage to the bikemaker’s earliest motorcycle from 1901, while gold accents lend a sharp contrast. There is no chrome on the motorcycle. Instead, the motorcycle features a mix of gloss and satin black paint finishes on the frame, trim, engine, and exhaust, which contrast nicely with the Hypershift paint job. Besides the paint job, a special 125-year crest on the fuel tank, anniversary side panel badges, hand-painted pinstripes, and a quilted brown leather seat make the motorcycle stand out.

It appears that with the limited-edition Classic 650, Royal Enfield has focused on delivering familiar engineering in a collectible-worthy package. In North America, the Royal Enfield 125th Anniversary Edition Hypershift Classic 650 is priced at $8,499. That’s $700 more than the regular Classic 650 and quite the steal given the expensive paint job, special badging, and limited-edition status. However, getting your hands on one won’t be an easy task. Production quantities will be limited across key global markets, and Royal Enfield has not specified the total number of motorcycles available or the numbers allocated to each market.

Registrations for the motorcycle are open and will close on sale day, October 28, 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in November 2026. If you are interested, check the Royal Enfield website or your nearest dealer for booking information.
