Ram Revives Rumble Bee With 777-HP Muscle Truck Under $95K
Ram announced U.S. pricing today for the all-new 2027 Rumble Bee lineup, a four-model factory muscle-truck family that brings back one of Dodge’s most beloved nameplates with serious hardware behind it. The entry-level Rumble Bee, powered by the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, starts at $59,995 before a $2,795 destination charge — a deliberate shot at the heart of the truck market. At the top of the range, the 777-horsepower Rumble Bee SRT starts under $95,000 and claims the title of most powerful, quickest, and fastest V8-powered production pickup ever built.
The SRT’s credentials are hard to argue with: 0–60 mph in 3.4 seconds, a 170-mph top speed, and an 11.6-second quarter mile. All four Rumble Bee variants ride on a unique shortened frame and wear an exclusive Quad Cab short-bed widebody body style — a configuration Ram says is available nowhere else in the segment. The 5.7-liter model hits showrooms in late 2026; the rest of the lineup follows in the first half of 2027.
Four Tiers, Three HEMI Displacements, One Lineup
Ram has structured the Rumble Bee family as a genuine performance ladder rather than a single halo model. The base Rumble Bee uses the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 producing 395 horsepower — enough to get into the lineup at a price point that undercuts most rivals’ performance trims. Step up to the Rumble Bee 392 and you get the 6.4-liter ‘Apache’ HEMI V8 at 470 horsepower, a meaningful jump that puts it in direct conversation with the most powerful naturally aspirated truck engines on the market.
The Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack builds on that foundation with enhanced aerodynamics, upgraded handling, and stronger braking capability — essentially a factory-tuned track variant without requiring a trip to an aftermarket shop. Then there’s the SRT. Its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 produces 777 horsepower, backed by a quick-shifting 8-speed automatic, an E-spool electronic locking differential, full-time four-wheel drive, and Launch Control. Ram isn’t hedging on the performance claims: 3.4 seconds to 60 mph and an 11.6-second quarter mile are the numbers on the table.
A Shorter Frame and Widebody Stance Do Real Engineering Work
Every Rumble Bee rides on a frame that’s 13 inches shorter in wheelbase than the standard Ram 1500 platform, with Ram claiming a 10% reduction in flex as a result. The shorter, stiffer chassis is what enables the truck’s handling character — and it’s also responsible for the muscular, stubby proportions that set the Rumble Bee apart visually. The exclusive Quad Cab short-bed widebody configuration is the only body style offered across the lineup.
Despite the performance focus and shortened dimensions, Ram says the Rumble Bee retains genuine truck capability. Towing capacity reaches up to 8,890 pounds, and payload tops out at 1,160 pounds — numbers that keep it useful beyond the drag strip. Inside, all models share a performance-oriented cockpit: flat-bottom steering wheel, console-mounted shifter, and aluminum paddle shifters. Available tech includes a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a configurable full-color Head-Up Display. Active Driving Assist at Level 2 is also on the options sheet.
Ram Wants Owners to Modify — and Plans to Support It
One of the more notable signals in today’s announcement came from Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands and SRT Performance at Ram. Commenting on the 5.7-liter entry point, he said: ‘Some will keep it stock. But let’s be honest — most won’t. A lot of brands try to fight that. We don’t. We embrace it. And we’re not just supporting it, we’re fueling it through Direct Connection.’
Direct Connection is Ram’s factory performance-parts program, and its explicit mention here suggests the Rumble Bee lineup is being positioned as a platform for upgrades from day one — not just a showroom display piece. For buyers who want a factory baseline they can build on, the 5.7-liter HEMI at under $60K is a calculated entry point. For those who want the finished product, the SRT at under $95K delivers record-setting performance without requiring any additional work.
The 5.7-liter Rumble Bee arrives in late 2026, with the 392, 392 Track Pack, and SRT following in the first half of 2027. Pricing for all four variants has been confirmed; destination charges are $2,795 across the lineup.
