For years, the Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus) has given owners a way to add modern infotainment and navigation technology while retaining a look that feels at home in a classic Porsche interior.

ATLANTA. The new generation of PCCM Plus is seamlessly integrated into the vehicle architecture. As an alternative to the seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen, the infotainment system can, where fitted as standard, also be operated via the multifunction steering wheel. Personal vehicle settings continue to be supported. For example, navigation instructions and music tracks can be displayed in the instrument cluster.

The new system also brings many of the digital conveniences found in today’s Porsche sports cars into the models that are quickly becoming modern classics. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity are fully integrated using Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi. Depending on local regulations, YouTube viewing is available when the vehicle is parked. Owners can even match the on-screen vehicle display to their car’s exterior for a more personalized experience.

PCCM Plus also adds several useful vehicle-focused features. Speed limits can be displayed using navigation map data, while oil temperature and oil pressure can be monitored through the trip computer screens. In Boxster and Cayman models, the system enhances the existing parking assistance by adding a visual display of nearby obstacles.

Navigation gains satellite imagery and the Scenic Roads feature, which can help drivers find more engaging drives by seeking out winding, scenic roads. Connectivity and entertainment features include HD Radio, FM and AM dual tuners, Bluetooth® audio streaming with song and artist information, compatibility with existing audio systems, and internal and external microphones. Additional features include a nano SIM card slot with 4G connectivity support for external media devices and over-the-air map updates.

The new PCCM Plus generation will be available in two model-specific versions: one for 2012 to 2016 911, Cayman and Boxster models (991.1- and 981-generation models) another for 2009 to 2013 models (997.2- and 987.2-generation models). Available features may vary by vehicle model and equipment, and some services require an internet connection. Professional installation at a Porsche Center is recommended. Pricing and additional details for the U.S. market will be announced closer to the expected launch in early 2027.
