The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera integrates advanced assistance and dynamic control systems designed to support the driver and enhance the driving experience, intensifying every sensation while preserving the pleasure of driving.

In an age when technology is becoming ever more present in our lives and in our cars, while many automotive manufacturers compete to add more screens, more app and more functions, Hispano Suiza offers a different vision. Technology that does not seek to take centre stage, but to place the driver at the heart of the experience. Technology that does not intrude, but always remains at the driver’s service.

At Hispano Suiza, innovation works in silence. It remains in the background, transforming every movement, every acceleration and every corner into a more precise, intuitive and emotional experience. It is conceived as a tool designed to deepen the connection between driver and vehicle. Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasure This philosophy finds one of its most advanced expressions in the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera, the third hypercar in the Carmen range and the perfect embodiment of the marque’s new era. Fully electric, delivering 820 kW (1,115 hp) of power, 1,160 Nm of torque and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 s, the Carmen Sagrera offers a contemporary interpretation of performance: extreme in its capabilities, yet refined, progressive and deeply emotional in the way it delivers them.

Every electronic system is developed and calibrated with one essential purpose: to preserve a direct, authentic and natural connection between the vehicle and the person driving it. The driver assistance and dynamic control systems are not designed to filter the experience, but to support it with precision and discretion, while respecting the driver’s judgement at all times.

Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasureHispano Suiza Driver Dynamics: empowers, never replaces
This philosophy takes shape in Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD), the proprietary dynamic control system that coordinates stability, torque management, power distribution and the Carmen Sagrera’s different driving modes.

HSDD encompasses the software systems responsible for managing the vehicle’s dynamic behaviour, power delivery, traction, braking and active safety. Together, they analyse multiple parameters from the hypercar and its surroundings in real time to optimise its response in every situation.

Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasureThe system integrates functions including the Grip Enhancement System traction control, Active Yaw Modulation stability control, torque management, power distribution and the adaptation of the vehicle’s response according to the selected driving mode.

The Electronic Torque Stabiliser is another key feature. It manages energy regeneration and can apply negative torque independently to the rear wheels to improve stability, while also helping to extend range. This is complemented by a thermal management layer for the motors and battery, designed to maximise and balance performance throughout use.

The true value of HSDD, however, lies not only in its technical sophistication, but in the way it intervenes. Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasure Unlike other high-performance vehicles, where the action of the assistance systems can be more noticeable, Hispano Suiza’s calibration has been developed through simulations and intensive testing both on the circuit and on public roads. The process was led by test driver and former Formula 1 driver Luis Pérez-Sala, with the aim of preserving a generous margin of freedom and delivering a progressive, natural response.

The result is a purer driving experience, in which the driver can feel the character and capabilities of the vehicle without sensing that the electronics have taken control.

Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasure‘At Hispano Suiza, we understand technology as a tool to intensify driving pleasure, not to replace it. The Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics system coordinates every intervention so that it acts only when necessary, in a precise, natural way that is entirely consistent with the character of the vehicle,’ says Juan Fernández, Chief Technical Officer at Hispano Suiza.

Hispano Suiza set-up: precision, emotion and control
The Carmen Sagrera has been conceived to deliver an even more intense and exciting driving experience. To achieve this, Hispano Suiza’s technical team has developed a specific set-up capable of adapting the vehicle’s response to different driving styles without compromising the marque’s DNA: exclusivity, craftsmanship, innovation and emotion.

Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasureWith a processing capacity of more than 200 million instructions per second, the Carmen Sagrera’s software analyses numerous essential parameters in real time, enabling HSDD to manage traction, stability and power delivery.

These include steering-wheel position and rotation speed, accelerator pedal input, wheel speed, brake pressure, chassis yaw angle, damper travel, acceleration across all three axes (XYZ), battery charge, current and voltage, driving mode, ambient temperature and pressure, and altitude above sea level.

Using this information, the system can modulate power delivery, adjust traction-control intervention, manage energy regeneration and adapt the vehicle’s dynamic behaviour to ensure precise and safe driving. Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasure The key, however, lies not simply in having this technology, but in knowing when and how to use it.

In the Carmen Sagrera, HSDD intervenes progressively and with meticulous calibration. The electronics protect, optimise and support, but never impose themselves. The driver retains a constant sense of control, confidence and connection with the vehicle. This is the essence of Invisible Technology.

Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD): Invisible technology designed to enhance driving pleasureSensors and data for a more intuitive driving experience
The Carmen Sagrera features an electronic architecture capable of collecting and processing information from more than 100 sensors distributed throughout the vehicle. Through HSDD, every piece of data is transformed into a more precise, natural and intuitive dynamic response.

Analogue and digital signals, as well as those transmitted via CAN protocol from sensors across the chassis and power units, are converted into values for pressure, temperature, position, flow, speed, acceleration, power and torque. This information continuously feeds Hispano Suiza’s proprietary software, which safely and precisely executes the driver’s commands.

The continuous monitoring of the hypercar’s condition enables the systems to anticipate and adjust their response before any intervention becomes perceptible. The vehicle reacts with exceptional precision, while always respecting the intentions of the person at the wheel.

This Invisible Technology transforms an enormous volume of technical information into a fluid and emotional experience. It does not place a barrier between driver and motor car; it removes interference to strengthen that connection.

An electric hypercar with the soul of a Gentleman Driver
The Carmen Sagrera reinterprets the concept of the Gentleman Driver from a contemporary perspective. Its technology has not been designed to filter or distance the driving experience, but to strengthen the connection between driver and vehicle.

In an electric hypercar with more than 1,100 hp, this philosophy demands an extraordinarily precise balance between power, control and sensitivity. Every HSDD calibration responds to that pursuit.

The immediate delivery of electric torque, traction management and the Carmen Sagrera’s acceleration capability are combined with a calibration designed to inspire confidence without diluting emotion.

The technology remains invisible so that sensation can take centre stage. So that power becomes precision, control becomes confidence and every journey becomes a deeply sensory experience.

At Hispano Suiza, technology does not replace the pleasure of driving. It amplifies it.
