Chery UK has raised over £25,000 for CarFest’s charity partners, following a successful prize draw held in the lead up to this year’s event at Silverstone Circuit.

The donation was presented on the CarFest main stage on Saturday 29 August, where Chery UK brand ambassador Sir Mo Farah joined event founder Chris Evans to reveal the fundraising total on behalf of the brand.

This year, Chery UK’s CarFest Charity Prize Draw gave one lucky entrant the opportunity to win a brand-new Chery TIGGO 4 CSH Summit. All proceeds are being donated to CarFest’s charity partners, including BBC Children in Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Young Epilepsy, as well as a number of regional charities connected to the event.

Sir Mo Farah joins Chery at CarFest

As the face of Chery UK’s recent ‘Go Like Mo’ campaign, showcasing the brand’s proprietary Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, Sir Mo Farah made an exclusive appearance at the festival on Saturday 29 August, appearing at the Chery stand to greet fans.

Throughout Saturday, Sir Mo posed for photographs with visitors, signed autographs, and helped mark Chery’s first anniversary in the UK market in style.

Chery brings the family fun
Returning for a second year as Official KidsFest Partner, Chery welcomed thousands of visitors across the three-day festival with a range of activities and experiences designed for families.

A major attraction was the Chery Penalty Shootout Challenge, which encouraged participants of all ages to put their football skills to the test, while the brand’s interactive Happy Place Wall invited attendees to share messages about the people, places and moments that bring them happiness.

Visitors also had the opportunity to explore Chery’s full line-up of Super Hybrid SUVs, including the TIGGO 4, TIGGO 7, TIGGO 8 and TIGGO 9. Test drives proved popular throughout the weekend, giving prospective customers a chance to get behind the wheel and experience the vehicles first-hand.

Farrell Hsu, Managing Director, Chery UK, said: ‘CarFest perfectly reflects the values that are important to us as a brand – family, community and making a positive difference. We are incredibly proud to have raised £25,000 for such worthy causes and are truly grateful to everyone who entered the prize draw and visited us throughout the event weekend.

‘Having Sir Mo Farah join us for the cheque presentation made the moment even more special, and it was fantastic to see so many families engaging with our activities, exploring our cars and celebrating with us as we mark our first year in the UK market.’

Chris Evans added: ‘Every year we see some amazing fundraising initiatives and activations that reflect both the brand and the festival ethos, from our partners. Chery has shown such commitment to CarFest, creating a wonderful experience for families with their Penalty Shootout challenge, but also by bringing one of our most inspirational athletes to the festival. And then add the incredible £25,000 donation! It’s a great and effective partnership and we can’t wait to celebrate their 2nd birthday back at Silverstone next year!’

Celebrating a landmark first year
CarFest presented by bp was the fitting stage for Chery UK to celebrate an exceptional first year in the British market. The brand recently achieved a 2% UK market share milestone, while the TIGGO 8 became the UK’s best-selling seven-seater in June.

Chery has also been recognised as Auto Trader’s Best Value Brand 2026, and its flagship TIGGO 9 CSH was named Large Car of the Year at the 2026 Car Dealer Power Awards.

With more than 80 retail sites now operating nationwide and plans to expand to 100 locations by autumn, Chery continues to strengthen its presence across the UK while remaining committed to supporting communities and charitable causes.
