Dodge announced the 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition on August 7, 2026, during the Charger’s 60th anniversary celebration — and the numbers make every previous Super Bee look tame by comparison. The new model produces a SAE-certified 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque from a twin-turbo 3.0-liter SIXPACK inline-six, making it the most powerful Super Bee ever built and, at 200 horsepower per liter, the most power-dense muscle car ever produced.

That’s not just a marketing claim. The 2027 Launch Edition hits 60 mph in 3.6 seconds — 20 percent quicker than the 2023 Super Bee’s 4.5-second run — and posts an 11.8-second quarter-mile, shaving six-tenths off the outgoing model’s 12.4. Beyond the straight-line gains, Dodge has wrapped this powertrain in a purpose-built track package: 16-inch Brembo brakes appearing on a SIXPACK Charger for the first time, a cooling system with more than 50 percent greater capacity, and new Continuous Damping Control adaptive suspension. Production is limited, and pricing will be announced later this year.

Bigger Turbos, More Boost, and a Broader Torque Curve

The heart of the Super Bee’s performance leap is a set of larger 56mm Garrett twin turbochargers that push over 30 psi of boost and spool harder than the units in the standard SIXPACK Charger Scat Pack. Peak torque arrives 11.8 percent earlier — at 3,000 rpm — and holds all the way through 5,900 rpm, giving the engine a broader, more usable hit of power rather than a narrow peak. The turbos also flow 7.5 percent more air than the Scat Pack setup, which helps sustain top-end output during repeated hard runs.

To handle 600 horsepower reliably, Dodge reinforced the half-shafts to be nearly 10 percent stronger and reworked the intake, charge-air path, and intercoolers — including a charge air cooler duct thermal wrap — to keep temperatures in check. Exclusive software calibration sharpens throttle response, accelerates boost buildup, and refines Launch Control behavior. Torque Reserve, familiar from the previous-generation Charger, returns here: it builds boost before the launch by holding ignition timing while the driver holds the brake, then releases everything the moment the brake is lifted for a stronger, more consistent launch.

Track Hardware That Matches the Power: Brakes, Wheels, and Suspension

The 2027 Super Bee is the first SIXPACK Charger to receive 16-inch Brembo vented rotors, backed by six-piston fixed calipers up front and four-piston units at the rear. Dodge says the setup delivers three times the brake fade resistance of any other SIXPACK Charger and double the fade resistance of the previous-generation SRT Charger, aided by a 27 percent larger brake pad surface area and dedicated brake-cooling ducts fed by the redesigned front fascia.

Wheels are 20-by-11-inch forged units wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 305/35ZR20 tires at all four corners — wider than any previous SIXPACK Charger setup. The new Continuous Damping Control adaptive suspension samples and adjusts damping force every 10 milliseconds, with front tension-link bushing stiffness up 25 percent and front handling-link bushing stiffness up 50 percent to sharpen turn-in. Front spring rates increase 12 percent, rear spring rates 6 percent, and the rear stabilizer bar is 20 percent stiffer. A dedicated RWD button on the steering wheel lets drivers switch from all-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive on the fly.

New Track and Drag Modes, Plus a Cosworth Data Recorder

Track Mode and Drag Mode arrive on a SIXPACK Charger for the first time with the Super Bee. Track Mode firms the dampers to their maximum setting, applies unique powertrain and traction calibrations, and tightens steering response for use on a closed course. Drag Mode shifts the suspension’s rebound and compression tuning to maximize weight transfer and traction off the line. A Race Prep function keeps the electric cooling fan running after shutdown to evacuate heat between runs — a useful detail for anyone planning back-to-back passes.

The Drive Experience Recorder (DxR) by Cosworth, also new to the SIXPACK Charger lineup, adds a forward-facing 1080p camera recording at 60 frames per second, synchronized with vehicle telemetry. Drivers can review sessions in-car or export data to the AliveDrive app on iOS or Android for lap comparison and driver-input analysis.

The Launch Edition is offered exclusively in three colors: new-for-2027 Sucker Punch (a vibrant yellow-green), new Shady (a dark, tone-on-tone gray), and Diamond Black. Each gets gloss-black or Sucker Punch bodyside “Stinger” graphics, a redesigned Super Bee logo inspired by a turbocharger spool, and Hyper Lime brake calipers with black SRT by Brembo lettering. The front fascia is entirely new, with a 30 percent increase in airflow to the main cooling stack and more than 100 pounds of additional downforce at 150 mph compared to the Scat Pack design.

Inside, the Launch Edition introduces the first cloth high-back performance seats in the modern Charger, featuring embroidered Super Bee logos on the headrests and Sour Lemon accent stitching. The steering wheel is unique to the Super Bee, with the dedicated RWD button, larger paddle shifters, and a Citrus Peel 12 o’clock marker. The car will be built at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario. Pricing and order details are expected later in 2026.
