#5 It’s still practical enough for everyday life
For all its pulse-raising, breath-quickening, eye-widening performance credentials, the Abarth 600e Competizione hasn’t forgotten that most of its life will be spent far from the asphalt of a racetrack. In fact, at 4.1 metres long, 1.8 metres wide and with a turning circle of just 10.5 metres, this is, above all else, a car designed for the city.
That 54kWh battery will deliver up to 207 miles of range (WLTP) on a full charge – more than enough for a week’s worth of school runs, shopping trips and daily commuting. And when it’s time to recharge, a 100kW DC rapid charger will get the battery from 20% to 80% in as little as 27 minutes, while an 11kW home charger will replenish the battery in less than six hours.
Practicality hasn’t been sacrificed at the altar of speed either. The elevated driving position and compact exterior proportions make the Competizione an easy car to live with in town, while a useful 360-litre boot provides enough space for everything from the weekly shop to a weekend’s luggage.
Inside, a crisp 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated navigation sits at the heart of the cabin, complemented by wireless smartphone charging, wireless smartphone mirroring and a host of cool digital performance readouts unique to the Abarth experience.
