The Honda NC750X DCT launched in the United States in 2018 and has carved out a niche in the middleweight sport tourer segment for everyday practicality and versatility. Honda says it will continue that role, returning for the 2027 model year without major mechanical changes. The MSRP is $9,499.
The 2027 Honda NC750X DCT returns to the company’s touring lineup, combining everyday practicality with adventure-inspired styling. As a midsize crossover, it is said to offer a comfortable riding position and thoughtful touches, along with a parallel-twin engine, a dual-clutch transmission, and a built-in storage compartment. Designed for accessible performance, the company says it’s a unique approach to everyday motorcycling.
The Honda crossover is powered by a liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank. Honda says its long-stroke design and high-inertia crankshaft produce torquey low- to mid-range power. Dual counterbalances are designed to counteract vibrations at the top end. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with four driving modes, manual mode, and paddle-style shifters.
The lightweight tubular steel diamond frame is designed to optimize low-speed handling, provide a generous steering lock, and free up storage space. Honda says the bike has a 48/52 front/rear weight distribution and weighs 497 pounds fully fueled.
Suspension is tuned for a smooth ride and control. The front uses a 41mm telescopic fork with Showa Dual Bending Valve design and 4.7 inches of travel. Out back, a Pro-Link monoshock with 4.8 inches of travel and spring preload adjustment is tuned for a soft initial stroke and control.
The NC750X DCT’s braking comes from dual Nissin two-piston axial-mount calipers gripping 296mm floating discs up front and a single-piston caliper gripping a 240mm disc out back. The bike runs on 17-inch 3×3-spoke cast aluminum wheels.
The NC750X DCT’s adventure-bike-inspired fairing gives the bike a purposeful look, with sharp creases and detail lines in the upper and lower fairings. In addition, slim side panels, covers, and tail are said to give the bike a mass-forward stance. This is also the first Honda motorcycle to use colored Durabio, a sustainable bio-based polycarbonate resin, in fairing parts, windscreen, and more.
The design is said to enable an upright, neutral riding position with a high viewpoint. At the same time, the seat sits 31.6 inches off the ground for easier reach for shorter riders, while a windscreen offers weather protection. Honda will also offer a comfort seat with extra urethane padding and a height-adjustable windscreen for better long-haul comfort.
One of the defining features of the NC750X is the storage area where you’d otherwise find the fuel tank. This compartment has 6 gallons of storage and can hold an ADV-style helmet. Honda says you can also install a USB socket and a divider for better usability.
The bike features a minimal tech package, including a 5-inch TFT display with three themes and smartphone connectivity. Other rider aids include Honda Ignition Security System (HISS), five riding modes (Sport, Rain, Standard, and two custom), ABS, and three-level, switchable Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).
The Honda NC750X DCT is priced at an MSRP of $9,499 and will be offered in the Matte Mud Gray colorway. It will arrive at dealerships in the US next month, according to Honda.
