Alfa Romeo has announced new ‘Edizione Luna Rossa‘versions of the Junior, Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio, adding distinctive styling and additional equipment inspired by the Italian Luna Rossa sailing team.

The special editions will sit at the top of their respective model ranges, with changes including red Alfa Romeo badges, unique interior materials and a choice of white, black, grey and red exterior finishes.

There are no significant mechanical changes, with the existing petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains retained depending on the model.

The cars form part of Alfa Romeo’s partnership with the Luna Rossa America’s Cup team, which has also included a ten-car run of the more extreme Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa unveiled earlier this year.

Junior and Tonale Luna Rossa

The Junior and Tonale Edizione Luna Rossa receive a new grey paint colour inspired by equipment used by the sailing team, although black and white alternatives are also available.

Both get a red Alfa Romeo badge, gloss black exterior detailing and a Luna Rossa graphic running along the side. The Junior comes with black 18-inch alloy wheels, while the Tonale gets an exclusive 20-inch design.

Inside, both models use a new three-dimensional knitted fabric for their seats, accompanied by grey and red detailing. Alfa Romeo says the manufacturing process uses fewer separate components and reduces material waste compared with conventional upholstery.

Standard equipment includes heated front seats and steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with massage function, keyless entry and a ten-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Junior Luna Rossa will be offered with 145hp hybrid and 156hp electric powertrains. The electric version uses a 54kWh battery and has an official range of up to 255 miles.

The Tonale is available as either the 175hp hybrid or 270hp plug-in hybrid, with the latter offering up to 38 miles of electric range.

Giulia and Stelvio get more carbon fibre

The larger Giulia and Stelvio Edizione Luna Rossa take a slightly different approach, with more extensive use of carbon fibre.

Both are finished in white as standard, with black and Etna Red available as alternatives. Carbon-fibre mirror caps carry Luna Rossa logos, while the Giulia also gets side skirts and a rear spoiler inspired by the more powerful Quadrifoglio.

The Giulia gets dark 19-inch alloy wheels, while the Stelvio uses 21-inch wheels. Red brake calipers are standard on both.

Inside, leather is combined with ‘Econyl’ recycled nylon fabric, partly produced using recovered fishing nets, while carbon-fibre trim is used across the dashboard, centre console and doors.

Adaptive suspension and a Harman Kardon sound system are also standard. The Giulia gets a panoramic roof as standard, while it’s optional on the Stelvio. Both models use Alfa Romeo’s existing 280hp 2.0-litre petrol engine.

The Alfa Romeo Edizione Luna Rossa range will be available to order in the UK from 1st December, with the first cars arriving between January and March 2027. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.
