Cadillac pulled the wraps off the V-ONE Concept on the eve of The Quail during Monterey Car Week, A Motorsports Gathering in California — and it is exactly what the name implies: one car, one seat, one customer. The V-ONE is a single-seat performance study that takes the engineering foundation of Cadillac’s Le Mans-winning V-Series.R prototype and translates it into a fully bespoke, road-going cockpit built around a single driver.

This is not a styling exercise dressed up in race-car aesthetics. Co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and chassis constructor Dallara, the V-ONE shares suspension architecture, transmission hardware, and select electronics directly with the V-Series.R — the same machine that has accumulated 10 wins, 16 pole positions, and 32 podiums since its 2023 debut, including the 2025 Le Mans Hyperpole and Cadillac’s first 1–2 finish in the FIA World Endurance Championship at São Paulo.

830 Horsepower and Race-Proven Architecture Under the Skin

At the heart of the V-ONE sits a hybrid V-8 powertrain producing 830 combined horsepower — a unit that shares its foundations with the V-Series.R race car. That connection runs deeper than the engine bay. The concept carries over the V-Series.R’s double wishbone suspension with pushrod-actuated coil and torsion spring elements, plus lateral and heave dampers front and rear. The aerodynamic package is likewise drawn from the race car’s proportions and visual intent, giving the V-ONE an authentic silhouette rather than a softened, production-car interpretation.

Cadillac is clear that the V-ONE is designed to be more accessible than the prototype it draws from — the interface and driver coaching systems are built to help a client explore the car’s full capability without a full racing crew in the pit lane. But the underlying hardware is the real thing. “The Cadillac V-ONE Concept is the ultimate manifestation of a customer performance concept and is a clear sign of our ambition for the Cadillac V-Series brand in the future,” said Dominic Najafi, Executive Design Director, Global Cadillac.

A Cockpit Built Around One Driver, Literally

Step inside — if you’re the one person it was built for — and the V-ONE’s interior makes the one-of-one premise tangible. The single seat is customized to the driver’s exact specifications. The steering wheel, designed by Cadillac’s racing engineers, carries a button layout tailored specifically for the client rather than a generic race-car template. A serialized plaque on the door marks the car’s identity, and the UX/UI interface is a bespoke data visualization system that delivers real-time performance feedback and coaching as the driver pushes the limits.

Material choices reflect Cadillac’s luxury positioning even within the exposed carbon structure. The interior incorporates recycled fabrics from the Cadillac Collection, threading sustainability into what is otherwise an uncompromising performance environment. The result is a cockpit that reads as a prototype racer but is finished with the attention to detail expected of a bespoke luxury commission.

Silver to Navy: The Exterior Details That Set It Apart

Visually, the V-ONE stays faithful to the V-Series.R’s dramatic proportions while adding details that signal its one-of-one status. The standout element is a hand-sprayed paint gradient that transitions from silver to deep navy — a deliberate nod to the passage of time during an endurance race, from daylight running to the night hours that define events like Le Mans. New V-Series wheel designs and updated dark-persona V-Series badging complete the exterior, giving the concept a more tailored, high-performance character than the race car it references.

What the V-ONE Says About Cadillac’s V-Series Ambitions

The V-ONE arrives at a moment when Cadillac’s racing program has genuine credibility to back up a concept this bold. The V-Series.R swept the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech Championship manufacturer, team, and driver titles in its debut season. The 2025 Le Mans Hyperpole and the São Paulo 1–2 followed. That record gives the V-ONE’s engineering claims real weight — this is not a brand borrowing race-car language for marketing purposes.

For V-Series collectors and performance-luxury enthusiasts watching Cadillac’s trajectory, the V-ONE is a signal. It demonstrates that the brand’s racing investment has produced hardware sophisticated enough to underpin a bespoke customer vehicle, and that Cadillac sees a future where competition engineering flows directly into the most exclusive tier of its lineup. Whether the V-ONE previews a limited production program or remains a one-off statement, it makes the direction unmistakably clear.
