• New initiative allows customers to benefit from up to six years (or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first) of warranty cover.
• All New MICRA, All New LEAF and 2026 model year ARIYA are eligible.

• Routine servicing at an official Nissan dealer or authorised repairer triggers additional periods of protection.

Nissan has announced an exciting new Service Activated Warranty programme for eligible Battery Electric Vehicles.

The programme – which has been up and running since 1st July – provides customers with the opportunity to benefit from up to six years of warranty cover.

The offer applies to the All-New MICRA (including all vehicles sold since launch), the All-New LEAF, arriving in showrooms this summer, and the 2026 model year ARIYA.

Future Nissan all-electric passenger vehicles will also be eligible.

All Nissan electric vehicle models also qualify for the Government’s Electric Car Grant, which has now been available for 12 months. Together with this warranty campaign, the grant further enhances the appeal of Nissan’s electric vehicle range, offering even greater value and peace of mind for customers.

Nicolas Belaud, Nissan GB Aftersales Director said: ”We are hugely excited about our new Service Activated warranty proposition, which we are sure will appeal to customers interested in purchasing one of our award-winning all-electric cars.

‘Nissan has more than 15 years of experience looking after EVs in the UK, more than any other manufacturer, and the service activated warranty highlights our confidence in our electric vehicles and offers even more customer benefit in bringing a car to the experts for servicing.

‘For a Nissan owner, taking their car to a Nissan dealership for routine servicing is a no-brainer. With state-of-the art facilities, access to genuine manufacturer parts and fully qualified Nissan technicians, owners can rest assured that their cars are in the best possible hands with us.’

How the Service Activated Warranty programme works
All qualifying vehicles continue to benefit from Nissan’s standard manufacturer warranty, which provides coverage for three years or 60,000 miles, whichever is reached sooner. Following the expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty, customers can activate an additional 12 months of cover each year (up to a maximum vehicle age of six years / 100,000 miles whichever comes first) by completing an eligible Nissan service within the retailer network and in line with Nissan’s recommended service schedule.

The new programme provides additional value and peace of mind for Nissan BEV buyers and positively differentiates the company’s aftersales proposition from that of many of its competitors.

To ensure coverage via a new Nissan Service Activated Warranty, customers are asked to follow a few simple steps:

• Adhere to the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule.
• Ensure the service prior to their manufacturer warranty expiry date (typically the third inspection) is carried out within the Nissan retailer network to ensure continuous coverage.
• Return to a Nissan Dealership or Authorised Repairer for their scheduled services from that point onwards, up to a maximum vehicle age of six years or until the car has travelled 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
If a customer has ventured outside the Nissan dealer network for a service, but their car nevertheless has a full-service history, they can have the warranty applied by taking their vehicle in for a service within the Nissan network. If the vehicle does not have a full-service history, an additional check may be needed to be carried out as well as a routine inspection before a car can become eligible.

For all Nissan Battery Electric Vehicles, a separate Lithium-Ion Battery Warranty remains in place for a period of up to eight years (or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first).

Used Nissan vehicles will be included too
Drivers of pre-owned All-New MICRA, All-New LEAF and 2026 model year ARIYA are also included in the new Service Activated Warranty programme, with similar criteria applying to their routine servicing and maintenance.

As with new cars, used BEVs can benefit from warranty cover up to the age of six years / 100,000 miles, with eligibility dependent on service work being carried out within the Nissan retailer network.

The work must be completed in line with the manufacturer’s service schedule; with each inspection carried out before the existing warranty period expires in order to activate the next 12 months of cover. If the vehicle does not have a full-service history, an additional check may be needed to be carried out as well as a routine inspection before a car can become eligible.
