Miami Style Meets Monterey: Caterham Brings Special Edition Seven to Bonhams Private Auction

• Caterham Cars is bringing two exclusive Seven Miami Special Editions to Monterey Car Week from 8 – 13 August 2026
• The showcase will be alongside auction partner Bonhams, where both cars will be available for acquisition through direct private treaty sale

Monterey, California – Caterham is bringing its pure, British, lightweight engineering to the premier stage of Monterey Car Week and the auction block with Bonhams Auctions. At this annual celebration of automotive excellence on the West Coast of California, collectors and track enthusiasts will have the rare opportunity to acquire two examples of the limited Caterham Seven Miami Special Edition, highlighting the manufacturer’s expanding footprint in the American market.

Hand assembled at Caterham’s UK headquarters; the Seven Miami Special Edition is limited to just 12 examples worldwide.

Based on the high-performance Seven R chassis, the track-only car features a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, delivering 210 bhp at 7,600 rpm for a power-to-weight ratio of 375 bhp-per-tonne. It’s mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 136 mph.

The bespoke aesthetics continue throughout the interior with the Miami script embroidered on the headrests, and an individually numbered plaque located on the dashboard.

The hand-built nature of a Caterham Seven means the cars also feature a second plaque in the engine bay, engraved with the names and signatures of the two builders responsible for hand assembling each car at the factory in the UK.

Attendees and prospective buyers will have the opportunity to view the Seven Miami Special Edition during Monterey Car week at:

• Pre-Reunion Preview: 8 – 9 August located in the paddock at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
• Main Auction Public Previews: 9:00am – 6:00pm PDT, 11 – 12 August located at the Bonhams Laguna Seca Auction marquee.
• Official Bonhams Sale: Commencing 10:00am PDT, 13 August located at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Both Seven Miami Special Editions are available by private treaty through Bonhams, enabling prospective collectors and enthusiasts to negotiate directly and privately with Caterham.
