Isuzu UK helps Mission Motorsport beneficiaries experience the Nürburgring
• Mission Motorsport praised the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35s for their reliability, towing strength and faultless performance throughout the journey.
• The loan helped the Forces’ Motorsport Charity deliver another powerful recovery-focused adventure for those impacted by military service.
Isuzu UK assisted Mission Motorsport, the Forces’ Motorsport Charity, with the loan of two special edition Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 pick-ups, enabling six beneficiaries to experience an unforgettable Recovery Motorsport adventure at the Nürburgring. The charity makes an annual pilgrimage to the exclusive Destination Nürburgring private track day – an event that has proved life-changing for medically retired service veterans.
The Nürburgring trip formed part of Mission Motorsport’s wider programme of Recovery Motorsport activity, using sport, teamwork, travel and shared challenge to support service leavers, veterans and their families affected by military service. With six beneficiaries able to take part, the expedition provided an opportunity to build confidence, reconnect with a team environment and enjoy the unique camaraderie that sits at the heart of Mission Motorsport’s work.
From long-distance road miles to towing duties and the practical demands of a busy motorsport programme, the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35s played a central role in making the trip possible. Built on the award-winning Isuzu D-Max platform and enhanced by Arctic Trucks, the AT35 combines towing strength, all-terrain capability and everyday usability. For Mission Motorsport, that combination proved invaluable for the journey to and from the Nürburgring.
Just as importantly, their off-road abilities gave lower-limb disabled beneficiaries access to parts of the historic Nürburgring that would ordinarily have been difficult or impossible to reach, broadening the experience beyond the track time itself.

James Cameron, Mission Motorsport’s Founder, said:
‘Brilliant trucks. They turned heads wherever we went, making light work of the long distances and towing. Trailers dropped off – their huge ground clearance and traction meant that we could help the group access parts of the track that few get to see.’
Jon Rigby, Mission Motorsport Beneficiary, on his first trip overseas said ‘Genuinely impressed with the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35s over the whole trip. Comfortable and quiet for the drive from Berkshire to the Nürburgring and back, even with four adults on board.
They effortlessly towed the race cars and trailers, with plenty of power and complete stability. Equally capable off-road, giving us easy access to some of the more remote areas around the Nürburgring.’
The support reflects the practical difference that vehicle partnerships can make to the charity’s delivery. Reliable towing and transport are essential to Mission Motorsport’s ability to run high-impact experiences, particularly when events take beneficiaries across the UK and into Europe. For some, the experience was life changing.
