The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is already the pavement-focused member of the Multistrada family, combining long-distance practicality with 17-inch wheels, sport bike tires, Öhlins semi-active suspension, and a more aggressive chassis setup. It sits just below the Multistrada V4 RS as the most performance-focused machine to bear the Multistrada name. For 2027, Ducati isn’t changing that formula mechanically. The big news is a new livery inspired by its factory racing machinery.
Underneath the fresh colors sits the familiar 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine producing 170 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 91 lb-ft of torque at 9,000 rpm. The 2027 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is priced at $33,995 in the US, with North American deliveries scheduled to begin in March 2027.
Ducati Centro Stile developed the new graphics alongside Drudi Performance, taking inspiration from the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R race bikes used by Ducati’s factory teams. The design mixes Ducati’s traditional racing colors with new graphics intended to visually connect the Pikes Peak with Ducati Corse machinery.
The bike also features a low smoked windscreen, carbon-fiber front mudguard and beak, gold-finished Öhlins fork legs, a V4-branded seat, and a Ducati Corse badge. North American bikes come with black five-spoke forged aluminum Marchesini wheels as standard, while red wheels are available as an accessory.
The mechanical centerpiece remains Ducati’s 1,158cc, liquid-cooled 90-degree V4 Granturismo engine. It uses a counter-rotating crankshaft, Twin Pulse firing order, four valves per cylinder, and a semi-dry-sump lubrication system. Bore and stroke measure 83 x 53.5 mm, with a 14.0:1 compression ratio.
Output remains 170 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 91 lb-ft at 9,000 rpm. Unlike Ducati’s desmodromic superbike engines, the V4 Granturismo was developed with longer service intervals in mind, with valve-clearance inspections spaced every 37,000 miles. A six-speed transmission and up-and-down quick shifter are standard, along with a homologated Akrapovič silencer.
The Pikes Peak’s more important differences remain underneath the bodywork. It uses 17-inch forged Marchesini wheels at both ends, wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires measuring 120/70 ZR17 up front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension includes a 48 mm fully adjustable fork and TTX36 rear shock, both offering 6.7 inches of travel. The bike also gets a lower, narrower handlebar and footpegs positioned higher and farther rearward than those on the standard Multistrada V4 to increase cornering clearance.
Braking hardware consists of twin 330 mm semi-floating front discs with radial Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers, plus a 280 mm rear disc with a two-piston caliper. Ducati lists wet weight without fuel at 500.4 pounds, with a 5.8-gallon fuel tank, 62.8-inch wheelbase, and adjustable seat height between 33.1 and 33.9 inches.
A Bosch inertial measurement unit (IMU) supports lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and additional dynamic rider aids. Five riding modes are available: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet, supported by multiple power and engine-braking settings.
The Pikes Peak also gets a 6.5-inch color TFT, smartphone connectivity, and full-map navigation capability. Front and rear radar hardware supports adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, and forward-collision warning. Cruise control, hill-hold assistance, hands-free ignition, and cornering lights are also included.
The 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak remains aimed at riders who want Multistrada touring capability with a clear road-performance focus. It sits apart from the more adventure-oriented Multistrada V4 Rally, while the more exclusive Multistrada V4 RS takes things further with a higher-revving Desmosedici Stradale-derived engine.
For 2027, then, Ducati hasn’t rewritten the Pikes Peak formula. The engine, chassis, suspension, brakes, and electronics that define the model all remain in place. What changes is the presentation, with a new race-inspired look that ties Ducati’s sportiest regular Multistrada more closely to the machines carrying its colors in MotoGP and World Superbike.
