• Newsweek Readers’ Choice™ Awards are determined by public voting and reflect consumer preferences across major automotive categories
Hyundai Motor America has been named Best SUV, Best Car, and Best Truck Brand in the 2026 Newsweek Readers’ Choice™ Awards. Newsweek’s audience also named Santa Fe Best New SUV, Elantra Best New Car, and Santa Cruz Best New Truck. This breadth of recognition underscores Hyundai’s popularity and trust among real-world consumers, reflecting the brand’s ability to deliver compelling models with attractive designs, technology, features, and pricing.
‘Today’s automotive industry is being reshaped by connected technology, advanced safety, and the evolving ways people move through their lives, said Ryan Kinney, senior vice president, Research Strategy & Revenue, Newsweek. ‘Newsweek’s Readers’ Choice™ Awards recognize the brands earning the trust and favor of readers experiencing these changes firsthand—consumers who research, buy, drive, and depend on these vehicles every day. We congratulate this year’s winners on receiving a powerful endorsement from those who know these vehicles best.’
Vehicle nominees were selected by Newsweek’s editorial team, with input from industry experts and contributors. Newsweek readers considered more than 100 model-year 2026 vehicles over a four-week public voting period. Readers were able to vote once per category, per day.
