Genesis Canada launches seamless inapp charging, expanding access to a more connected EV ecosystem |
• Expands access to a broad charging network across North America with seamless in-app integration

Genesis Canada is enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience with the introduction of in-app charging functionality within the Genesis Intelligent Assistant app. Available across the entire Genesis EV lineup, the new feature streamlines access to public charging by allowing drivers to locate, initiate and manage charging sessions through a single digital experience.
To further streamline the process, drivers can also pay for charging sessions directly within the app through an integrated payment solution. By bringing charging access, session management and payment together in one place, Genesis is making public charging more convenient and helping deliver a more seamless EV ownership experience.
A more seamless way to charge
Designed to simplify the EV ownership journey, in-app charging integrates essential charging tools into one intuitive platform, allowing Genesis guests to:
• Easily locate available charging stations
• Initiate and pay for charging sessions directly within the app
• Benefit from a more connected and streamlined charging experience
The feature enables users to link an existing ChargePoint account or create one within the app, unlocking access to an extensive North American charging network. Through this integration, Genesis EV owners can access multiple charging providers — including Tesla, ChargePoint, FLO and Circuit Électrique — within a single, united platform. All charging sessions and payments are securely processed through ChargePoint and its service providers.

Expanding access across Canada’s charging network
The introduction of in-app charging is part of Genesis Canada’s broader commitment to improving EV accessibility and convenience.
Building on this momentum, Genesis is also supporting expanded infrastructure access through its complimentary NACS (North American Charging Standard) adapter program.
Eligible EV models for this program include the following models delivered before 12/31/2025 that were equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) charging port:
• Model year 2022-2025 GV60
• Model year 2023-2024 Electrified G80
• Model year 2024-2025 Electrified GV70
This program enables eligible Genesis EV owners to access an even wider range of charging options, including additional fast-charging networks. Genesis guests can receive their complimentary NACS adapter while supplies last by completing the ‘EV Special Care’ service and enrolling in Genesis Intelligent Assistant app to enable the new in-app charging feature.
Together, these initiatives reflect Genesis Canada’s ongoing efforts to simplify charging, expand access, and deliver a more integrated EV ecosystem.
