Unveiled in 2025 as a new international C segment SUV, Renault Boreal marked a first milestone with its launch in Brazil, where it has since been deployed across several Latin American markets from the Curitiba production hub.

Boreal was designed as a global vehicle for the brand, developed for multiple regions remaining true to Renault’s voiture à vivre DNA. Positioned in the high-value C SUV segment, it strengthens the brand’s competitiveness in markets where SUV demand is structurally strong.

Boreal now enters a new phase with the opening of a second production hub in Bursa, Türkiye. This expansion reinforces Boreal’s industrial footprint and enables exports to a group of markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the North and Sub-Saharan Africa.

‘We are very proud to introduce Boreal to the Turkish market. Being manufactured at our OYAK Renault facility in Bursa will both support domestic demand and strengthen Türkiye’s position in the global automotive ecosystem by contributing to our export targets.’
Lionel Jaillet, CEO of Renault Group Türkiye

Through its unique approach, leveraging its hubs in Brazil and Türkiye, Renault enhances proximity to markets, strengthens operational agility and reinforces competitiveness.

Electrification supporting Renault’s international growth
As part of its international rollout, Boreal contributes to Renault’s electrification strategy beyond Europe with a pragmatic, market-adapted approach.

Produced in Türkiye, Boreal is the first model worldwide to feature the new 160 hp full hybrid E-Tech powertrain, combining performance, efficiency and reduced emissions.

This offer complements the 1.3 turbo TCe EDC 145 hp petrol engine, providing customers with solutions adapted to local usage and expectations.

Powerful, elegant, and eye-catching SUV design
Renault Boreal fuses the brand’s new design language with its strong SUV character. Its imposing body structure, sharp shoulder lines, powerful front design, and modern lighting signature create a striking presence at first glance.

With a length of 4.56 meters and a wheelbase of 2.70 meters, the model stands out with dimensions exceeding C-segment standards, offering a spacious interior and a large trunk. The body-colour front grille, the new ‘Nouvel’R’ logo, the slim LED headlight design, and the Niagara Concept-inspired lighting signature underline the vehicle’s modern character.

The strong fender structure, which draws attention in the side profile, and sweeping roofline reinforce Boreal’s premium character both in urban use and on long-distance journeys. The 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, black roof, and electrically opening panoramic glass roof give the model an upper-segment feel.

Technology and comfort-oriented interior
Renault Boreal’s interior offers a modern and spacious cabin that combines digital technologies with comfort. Shaped through an ergonomic design approach, the cockpit stands out with its driver-oriented layout and large digital displays.

The model comes with a 10-inch digital instrument display and a 10-inch openR link central multimedia screen. Thanks to the ergonomic design, access to connected technologies becomes easier while the driver’s attention remains focused on the road. The gearshift paddles positioned behind the multifunction steering wheel enhance the interior’s modern atmosphere. The ambient lighting, with 48 colour options, can automatically change depending on Multi-Sense driving modes. Soft-touch interior surfaces, laser-embroidered decorative details, and seats with contrast stitching reinforce the perception of high quality.

The grey perforated upholstery option, offered specifically for the Turkish market, adds a different touch to Boreal’s contemporary character.

Electrically adjustable front seats, a memory and massage function for the driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a cooled wireless charging pad, and generous storage spaces make everyday use more comfortable. Rear-seat air vents, USB-C ports, and the Easy Break rear seat folding system are also among the features that support family use. The trunk capacity of up to 630 litres expands to 1,868 litres with the rear seats folded. The low loading threshold ensures ease of use.

Google-integrated connected driving experience
Renault, a leading brand in connected vehicle technologies, will offer the Google-integrated advanced automotive ecosystem and connected driving experience to customers with Renault Boreal, alongside many existing models.

Thanks to the openR link multimedia system, users can directly access Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play, while also controlling Google Home-compatible smart devices. Real-time traffic information, a voice-command system, and a personalized digital experience integrate Boreal seamlessly into everyday life.

Popular apps such as Waze, Vivaldi, YouTube, HBO Max, Prime Video and Spotify can be accessed directly through the system. Thanks to the remote OTA update infrastructure, the infotainment system and driving assistance technologies remain continuously up to date.

Through the My Renault app, users can remotely activate their vehicle’s horn and lights and view its location.

Renault Boreal also features the Harman Kardon premium sound system, developed in collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre. The system, featuring 10 speakers and 435 watts of power, offers an immersive experience with various sound ambiance options, including Studio, Concert, Club, and Hall.

Advanced driver assistance systems
Renault Boreal is positioned as one of the most comprehensive models in its segment in terms of active safety and driver assistance systems. Depending on the version and trim level, up to 25 ADAS technologies are available in the model.

Technologies such as Lane Keeping Assistant, Blind Spot Warning System, Safe Exit Assistant, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Emergency Stop Assistant enhance driving safety.

The Active Driving Assist system, which provides Level 2 driver-assistance support, combines adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function and lane centering, making driving more comfortable in heavy traffic.

With the Hands-Free Parking System and 360° surround-view camera, the vehicle can perform parallel or perpendicular parking manoeuvres with minimal driver input.

Full LED headlight technology, improves visibility during night driving while reducing glare for other drivers.

Efficient engine options and EDC automatic gearbox
Renault Boreal has been developed with a range of powertrain options that combine performance, efficiency, and driving comfort, including the full hybrid E-Tech 160 hp, turbo TCe EDC 145 hp, and hybrid E-Tech 4×4 150 hp versions.

In Türkiye, the model will be launched with the full hybrid E-Tech 160 hp and turbo TCe EDC 145 hp engine options. The range will be further expanded in the fourth quarter of 2026 with the addition of the hybrid E-Tech 4×4 150 hp version, which will also be offered to customers.

The 1.3 Turbo TCe EDC 145 hp petrol engine, paired with a 6-speed wet dual-clutch (EDC) transmission, delivers a balanced mix of performance and driving comfort. This version has combined CO₂ emissions of 149 g/km and combined fuel consumption of 6.6 L/100 km according to WLTP standards.

The Renault Boreal full hybrid E-Tech 160 hp version, meanwhile, promises a highly efficient driving experience. At the heart of its system lies the HR18-coded hybrid engine manufactured in Bursa, Türkiye, by Oyak Horse and exported worldwide.

The system enables up to 80% electric driving in urban use and allows electric acceleration up to 110 km/h. The model, equipped with a multi-mode automatic gearbox, stands out with combined CO₂ emissions of 108 g/km and combined fuel consumption of 4.8 L/100 km, according to WLTP standards.

In addition to Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Perso modes, the Multi-Sense driving system now includes the new Smart Mode option. The system can automatically adapt steering feel, engine response, ambient lighting, and sound ambiance according to driving conditions.
