ToggleThe Volkswagen ID. Tiguan is a mid-sized electric SUV that is set to arrive in UK showrooms in early 2027 as a direct replacement for Volkswagen’s ID.4 SUV and ID.5 coupé-SUV.
Despite Volkswagen describing the ID. Tiguan as a completely new model, it’s essentially a heavily reworked successor to the existing ID.4 and ID.5, rather than a clean-sheet replacement. Although the underpinnings are an evolution of the current models, the styling is completely new – both inside and out – while the powertrains have also been upgraded.
Volkswagen is borrowing the car’s nameplate from its hugely successful Tiguan family, although the electric model is based on a completely different platform from its fossil-fuelled siblings. The ID. Tiguan will go on sale at the beginning of 2027, although there’s no UK-specific launch information or pricing yet.
There are currently no UK-based reviews of the ID. Tiguan to display on this page yet. Once we have a collection of review scores to present, and we have collected safety and running cost data for the model, we will give the ID. Tiguan an Expert Rating score. Check back soon!
