Nissan wins seven categories in 2026 Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards
In addition, three Nissan vehicles won their respective categories: Nissan Sentra earned No. 1 Best New Car, the Nissan Frontier was named No. 1 Best New Truck and the Nissan Rogue was named No. 1 Best New SUV. The Nissan Altima was also named No. 2 in the Best New Car category.

The plant recently celebrated assembling the 1 millionth Frontier truck in Canton; Nissan has assembled 2 million Frontiers in the U.S. since production of the truck began at Nissan’s Smyrna, Tennessee plant in 1998. A limited-run 250th Anniversary Edition of the Frontier pickup truck celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary. It features a graphic that reads ‘Frontier’ on the tailgate with a monochromatic Stars and Stripes design, and is limited to just 2,500 units assembled through the month of July.
