In an ideal world, Grand Theft Auto VI would have already been released to the public, but some delays in perfecting the Rockstar recipe mean that the new launch date of November 19, 2026, will see the arrival of the most anticipated gaming titles of all time.

It has shaped up to be one of Rockstar’s most ambitious projects yet, and like all that have come before it, one of the most exciting parts of any GTA game is the fleet of vehicles players get to drive, race, and inevitably crash while fleeing the opposite side of the law. While Rockstar hasn’t released an official vehicle list, every frame of the trailer and other snippets have been used to identify what will be waiting for its release. Some of these are brand new, while others are evolutions of classics that have appeared in past games. Another layer of the appeal is that almost all of them draw heavy inspiration from real-life cars, which is quite the opposite of the GTA V-inspired Pegassi Infernus that is being prepared for drifting as a fully functional replica.

Aside from the above, don’t expect to see any of these on the roads anytime soon since Rockstar doesn’t use real cars in Grand Theft Auto because licensing would be costly, restrictive, and clash with the game’s violent, criminal themes. But alas, here are the coolest new cars that can be expected in GTA 6, along with their likely inspirations and history in the franchise.

New Leaked GTA 6 Footage And Confirmed GTA 6 Cars

Yesterday we reported on new leaked footage from GTA 6. However, Rockstar still has not published a complete GTA 6 vehicle list, but the game’s preorder and edition details have finally given us several official names. The biggest addition is the 1995 Grotti Cheetah, which appears to be a newer retro interpretation of the Ferrari-inspired supercar already discussed below. This is separate from the existing Cheetah Classic and could pull inspiration from several early-1990s Ferraris, giving Vice City another loud Italian machine built for neon-lit misbehavior.

Rockstar has also named the 1967 Vapid Dominator Buggy, which sounds like a vintage off-road relative of GTA’s Ford-inspired muscle-car family. Other confirmed additions include the Shitzu Squalo speedboat, a retro build for the Ganado SUV, vehicles stored at Jason’s safehouse, and an entire classic-car collection. The Vintage Vice City preorder pack adds a 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan and its own garage, giving players a proper old American land yacht to cruise between police chases.

These bonuses also reveal that car culture will be woven more deeply into the game. Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie’s are both named as modification shops, suggesting players will have multiple places to customize their rides rather than relying on one familiar chain. Rockstar will reveal more during Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, which could finally show us how driving, damage, customization, and car theft have evolved since GTA V.

Ford Raptors Live in GTA VI Through The Vapid Caracara

The Vapid Caracara 4×4 made its broody presence known in the second GTA 6 trailer, with a snippet of it parked alongside the very obvious Miami-inspired beach domicile. This massive off-road truck takes clear inspiration from butch modern pickups, like something from Hennessey, which makes sense since Vapid has long represented the Ford Motor Company in previous GTA games. Its reappearance in GTA 6 could mean Rockstar is doubling down on extreme off-road adventures in the marshy wastelands depicted in other parts of the trailers.

In the real world, the Ford F-150 Raptor R can smoke sports cars off the line with a 0-60 mph of 3.6 seconds courtesy of a 5.2-liter supercharged V8, which puts out a healthy 720 hp to all wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox. More of this, please, Rockstar!

Grotti Cheetah Classic

The Analogue Supercar Golden Era Is Present With The Testarossa-Inspired Grotti Cheetah Classic

Few (auto) names in GTA carry as much weight as the Grotti and the Cheetah Classic, spotted in GTA VI’s first trailer, parked beside a nightclub and in an exclusive automotive company. The model harkens back to the retro supercars of the 1980s and 1990s and is very clearly modeled after the Ferrari Testarossa and F40, which are two of the most recognizable icons of their respective era. The Cheetah itself has been an iconic mainstay in GTA since Vice City, and its return in classic form for GTA 6 will imbue a sense of pixelated Ferrari nostalgia in older gamers who have been online for more than two decades.

Including the Grotti Cheetah Classic in the latest Rockstar title is the most logical thing to do, following the fame garnered by a white Testarossa in Miami Vice.

Grotti Carbonizzare

GTA VI Gets Ferrari And Aston Martin-Inspired Grand Touring Exclusivity With The Grotti Carbonizzare

Also from the Grotti stable is the Carbonizzare, which is another creative interpretation of an Italian exotic that has been a fixture in previous GTA titles. For the next release, previews show a model that looks sharper and more futuristic than ever before, with angular lines hinting at design cues from the Ferrari 812 Superfast. This car was first introduced in GTA V, where it became a fan favorite courtesy of its impressive performance, and much the same is expected of it in Rockstar’s latest title.

A lesser-known piece of automotive history comes from Zagato, and its storied past alongside British automaker Aston Martin. Over the past decade, the Italian coachbuilder has continued in rebodying Astons of all sorts, with the Carbonizzare very clearly taking a healthy dollop of inspiration from the result.

Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire

The Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire Takes A Page Out of The Dodge Challenger

Hellcat’s Book

In an era of rampant takeovers, could GTA VI do without the ultimate mayhem machine? The Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire has long been Rockstar’s take on modern American muscle cars, and its appearance in the past few leaks and trailers, to no surprise, strongly mirrors the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, replete with wide-body styling and aggressive front fascia. The Hellfire is one of the more recent additions to the Rockstar world, since it has only been present since the GTA Online updates.

Its name even reflects that of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and its performance and brute capability should make it one of the quicker cars off of the line in GTA VI.

The Benefactor Schafter V12 Represents AMG Power In GTA

Luxury sedans have always had a place in the GTA, since they are so well appreciated by members of the underworld. In this one, though, the de facto choice is the Benefactor Schafter V12, which performs its duties with a clear bit of German engineering flair. In real life, it takes inspiration from multiple Mercedes-Benz models, including the E-Class, S-Class, and CL (all in AMG performance guise). The Schafter has appeared in GTA IV, GTA V, and GTA Online, making it a familiar name for longtime players.

Since it has been around for so long, and it seems that the Rockstar team hasn’t tinkered with newer generations or facelifts, it’s worth mentioning that the front is reminiscent of a C216-generation CL65 AMG up front, while the four-door layout and rear end seem to be taken straight from the W212-generation E-Class. Some sources even cite that it is a direct virtual world descendant of the potent 2010 Brabus SV12 R.

Invetero Coquette D10

The Rockstar Coquette Is A Real Life Corvette

The Invetero Coquette D10 is Rockstar’s love letter to the Chevrolet Corvette, and its updated form in GTA 6 draws clear influence from the mid-engined Corvette C8. The Coquette has been part of GTA lore since IV, evolving from a parody of the C5 Corvette into this sleek virtual reinterpretation of America’s favorite sports car. Fans of domestic performance will no doubt flock to the Coquette D10 as their daily driver in Vice City.

Online players can let their imaginations run wild with cool liveries and modifications, like this fighter-jet themed Liberty Walk C8 Corvette.

Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio / Comet Retro Custom

Porsche Power Continues in GTA VI With Pfister Comet

The Pfister Comet is one of the most iconic GTA cars to date, which shares the very iconic lines of the Porsche 911. In GTA VI, players will be treated to two variations of the German imitation with the Comet S2 Cabrio, a convertible version clearly inspired by modern 911 Cabriolets, and the Comet Retro Custom, which takes cues from classic 930-generation Porsches.

Fortunately, the original widow maker hasn’t been too difficult to drive and doesn’t serve up checks of turbolag that unskilled drivers can’t cash in the video game franchise. Expect much of the same in VI.

Schyster PMP 700

The Schyster PMP 700 Sedan Is The Intersection Where Audi and Chrysler Meet

One of the genuinely new names on the GTA 6 roster is the Schyster PMP 700, which looks to be a sleek and stylish performance sedan when unmolested and not slammed on the ground wearing Hulk Green paintwork. While not much is known about it yet, early glimpses suggest it borrows from Audi’s playbook, likely the B7 A4. That being said, Schyster has typically represented Chrysler in GTA, the name again seeming like an anagram for the original OEM it is based on, but the PMP 700 seems to push into German performance territory for this edition.

The PMP 700, succeeding the previous PMP 600, will continue the GTA tradition of chrome-donned lowriders in the next iteration of the franchise.

Lamborghini Flash Set To Feature In Rockstar’s Miami-Inspired Playground

Every GTA needs a wild exotic, and GTA 6 has already teased one heavily inspired by the likes of Lamborghini’s contemporary wares. Featured in the second trailer for GTA VI, the 2-door Pegassi Supercar bears all the hallmarks of any modern Raging Bull. Sharp lines, aerodynamic rakes and low stance paired with a recognizable green hue mean that this is likely a Temerario twin. Rockstar has previously delivered similar designs through Pegassi (its Lamborghini stand-in), so it’s safe to assume this will either be a Pegassi flagship or a brand-new hypercar entirely.
