As businesses consider how EV charging fits into their long-term business strategy, Electrify America is helping retailers take greater ownership of the charging experience.

Powered by Electrify America is a turnkey, white label offering that helps businesses own and operate their own branded EV charging networks without the complexity of building and managing one themselves.

It lets retailers design the charging experience for their customers and manage elements like branding, pricing and loyalty programs. Behind the scenes, Electrify America provides technical expertise and operational support, drawing on its experience operating one of the largest DC fast charging networks in North America.

This ownership model enables retailers to approach charging as part of a broader growth strategy. It can help increase dwell time, drive incremental revenue, strengthen customer loyalty, and position retailers as destinations for EV drivers.

Since launching our white-label offering in 2020, we’ve seen significant growth in the model. Today, Powered by Electrify America supports more than 100 stations and nearly 600 chargers across the network, including deployments with major convenience and retail brands like Wawa and Costco. EV drivers can access these white-label stations along with Electrify America’s broader, coast-to-coast network of more than 5,600 chargers across 1,080 stations.

This white-label growth reflects a larger shift in how businesses are thinking about EV charging. For many retailers, the decision has evolved beyond whether to simply add chargers at their stores. Retailers are now taking a broader view, evaluating how charging can support their long-term strategy, and considering if owning the charging experience can help advance those goals.

Our team will bring that conversation to the NACS Show, the annual event for the convenience and fuel retailing industry, in Las Vegas next week. I’ll be participating in an education session on Wednesday, October 7, to review charging business models and help retailers determine which model best fits their strategy.

I encourage retailers curious about owning a charging network to attend that session, connect with the Electrify America team at Booth C6901 in Central Hall and visit this page to learn more.
