Kia has released 2027 Sorento Hybrid pricing, and for once a redesigned model year isn’t costing buyers more. The base EX FWD starts at $39,090, just $200 above last year, while a new X-Line EX AWD trim slots in at $43,090 for buyers who want rugged styling without paying for the top-shelf model. The range tops out with the X-Line SX-Prestige AWD at $47,590.

That pricing keeps the Sorento Hybrid comfortably ahead of its biggest three-row rivals on value. It undercuts the Toyota Highlander Hybrid by about $8,000 and the Grand Highlander Hybrid by roughly $5,000, while landing right in line with the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, its corporate cousin. For shoppers cross-shopping hybrid three-rows this fall, the Sorento just made the decision easier.

Trim Walk And What Each Price Buys You

The lineup splits into four configurations. EX FWD opens at $39,090, and stepping up to EX AWD adds $1,800 for $40,890, useful if you deal with snow or wet roads regularly. Both carry over the EX trim’s core equipment list largely unchanged, aside from new HEV badging on the tailgate marking it as the hybrid and a shift from Steel Gray to Pale Gray in the color palette.

The X-Line SX-Prestige AWD, the returning top trim, rose $400 to $47,590, but now includes a head-up display as standard rather than bundled into an option package. All prices quoted exclude Kia’s $1,495 destination charge, so a loaded SX-Prestige lands just under $49,100 before tax and dealer fees.

The New X-Line EX Is The Trim To Watch

The real story here is the X-Line EX AWD, a new trim that splits the difference between base EX and the loaded SX-Prestige. At $43,090, it’s $2,200 above standard EX AWD but brings X-Line’s blackout exterior treatment, faux skid plates, gloss-black wheels and trim, and wood interior accents, all of which used to require jumping to the top trim. All-wheel drive comes standard.

It’s not a full off-road package. The X-Line EX skips the SX-Prestige’s dedicated drive modes and some trim-specific badging, and buyers who want those features will need to pay up or add them as options. But for the styling alone, saving $4,500 off the SX-Prestige is a real number, and it’s likely to be the volume play for shoppers who want the look without the full price tag.

Powertrain And Standard Equipment

Every Sorento Hybrid pairs a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic, producing 232 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Combined fuel economy runs 34 to 37 mpg depending on configuration, with front-wheel-drive models leading the range.

Even the base EX comes well equipped: 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated power front seats, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a power tailgate. Safety tech includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane-centering, blind-spot warning, and adaptive lights, all standard rather than optional extras.

Why This Matters For Buyers Right Now

Kia isn’t just holding the line on price while demand is soft. Sorento sales are up 4% year to date, and September alone saw a 37% jump over the same month last year. That kind of momentum, paired with pricing that undercuts the Highlander Hybrid and Pilot Hybrid by thousands, suggests dealers won’t be sitting on excess inventory or discounting heavily. If the Sorento Hybrid’s value proposition appeals to you, this is the pricing to act on, not wait out.
