Cyberleek dropped 25 minutes of Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage today, and buried inside the leak is something motorcycle fans have been waiting years to see: a proper, extended look at how Rockstar has handled two-wheelers in the new game. The sequence centers on the Thrillbilly Mud Club, a dirt-racing venue glimpsed briefly in GTA 6’s first official trailer, where protagonist Lucia — and later Jason — take part in a competitive motorcycle race against a field of bikes and cars.

For anyone who has spent time white-knuckling GTA 5’s notoriously twitchy, physics-defying motorcycles, the footage is worth a close look. What Rockstar appears to have built this time around is meaningfully more considered — differentiated bike stats, terrain-specific handling ratings, and animation quality that actually reflects how dirt bikes move under load.

Rooster Rentals, the Manchez, and Differentiated Bike Stats

From the footage we see that Jason and Lucia rent separate dirt bikes from an in-world vendor called Rooster Rentals at the Thrillbilly Mud Park. The rental screen displays two models: the Manchez and the Sanchez, each available for $200. Both are dirt-bike archetypes that GTA veterans will recognize — the Sanchez has been a series staple since GTA: San Andreas — but what’s new is what appears alongside them in the description boxes.

Each bike shows separate off-road and asphalt ratings, indicating Rockstar has implemented a differentiated stat system for terrain-specific handling. That’s a meaningful departure from GTA 5, where motorcycles largely handled as a single, undifferentiated physics object regardless of surface. The implication is that choosing the right bike for the right surface will actually matter in GTA 6 — a basic simulation principle that the series has historically ignored for two-wheelers.

The race sequence itself — in which Jason competes against a field and finishes third, per the Sportskeeda account — gives the clearest window yet into how GTA 6’s motorcycle physics behave under competitive conditions. The footage verified by Video Games Chronicle as appearing authentic shows bikes navigating a dirt course alongside cars, which is the kind of mixed-vehicle racing environment that tends to expose handling model weaknesses quickly.

GTA 5’s motorcycle physics were widely criticized for their binary feel: bikes were either planted and fast in a straight line or violently unpredictable the moment a rider touched the brakes or hit uneven ground. Riders ejected at low speeds, leaning behavior felt disconnected from momentum, and off-road surfaces offered almost no differentiated feedback. Based on the description of the Thrillbilly footage, the animation quality and physics behavior during the race appear to represent a step forward — though a full assessment will have to wait for hands-on time with the final game.

One detail buried in the GamesRadar coverage of the leak is notable for motorcycle fans specifically: the footage appears to confirm first-person gameplay in GTA 6. GTA 5 added a first-person mode in its PS4 and Xbox One re-release, and it transformed motorcycle riding in that game — suddenly the handling quirks became visceral rather than frustrating, and the bike models themselves became much more visible and detailed. If GTA 6 ships with first-person support at launch, the quality of the motorcycle models and cockpit animations will matter in a way they didn’t in GTA 5’s original release.

Rockstar has not officially confirmed first-person mode for GTA 6 at launch — some who saw early builds reportedly indicated it would not be included — so this remains a point to watch.
