Stellantis’ Kokomo and Etobicoke Casting Plants Earn North American Die Casting Association (NADCA)

Stellantis’ Kokomo Casting Plant (KCP) and Etobicoke Casting Plant (ECP) are recognized by the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA) for their commitment to excellence in safety.

These recognitions highlight organizations that maintain safety records exceeding national manufacturing averages and that demonstrate a sustained allegiance to protecting employees on the job — evaluated using year-end safety records submitted to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the U.S and Occupational Health and Safety Administration in Canada for the previous year.

Kokomo Casting Plant KCP is the only organization among NADCA’s approximately 290 members to earn the association’s 10 Years of Excellence in Safety distinction and the first company ever recognized in the category since its establishment. NADCA reserves this highest level of safety recognition for organizations achieving five and 10 consecutive years of award-winning performance.

The Kokomo, Indiana, plant also earned a 2025 Outstanding Safety award, its 12th since 2014. This award is presented to organizations with employee days away from recordable injuries or illnesses averaging 1.7 or less. The metric measures incidents that result in employees missing work, performing restricted duties or being transferred to another position, providing insight into the severity of job-related incidents and the effectiveness of an organization’s safety programs.

‘Receiving these exceptionally high honors reflects the strong commitment every employee makes to safety each day,’ said Jeremy Agnew, plant manager, Kokomo Casting Plant. ‘Our team understands that safety is the foundation of everything we do.’

KCP is the largest die-cast facility in the world, spanning 625,000 square feet. It produces transmission and transaxle cases, aluminum parts for automotive components and engine block castings.

Etobicoke Casting Plant The ECP, located in Toronto, is recognized by the NADCA with two awards — the Perfect Award and the Progress Award — for its 2025 safety performance. The Perfect Award honors facilities that maintain zero lost days, job transfers or restricted-duty incidents throughout the year, while the Progress Award honors organizations that show improvement of 25% or more compared with the previous year.

‘Receiving both a Perfect Award and a Progress Award is a tremendous achievement for our team and a testament to their commitment to workplace safety,’ said David W. Wood, plant manager, Etobicoke Casting Plant. ‘Every employee plays a role in creating a safe work environment, and this recognition demonstrates the pride and accountability that define our facility.’

Through ongoing employee engagement, hazard identification and process enhancements, the Etobicoke team remains focused on maintaining a safe workplace for all employees.

ECP produces aluminum die-castings for a variety of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® and Ram vehicles.

Both plants will be honored during NADCA’s annual Safety Award Program to be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
