Ducati unveiled the limited-edition Panigale V4 SP at EICMA 2026 for trackday enthusiasts who want competition-derived tech on a street-legal sportbike. It is joined by the Streetfighter V4 SP and Panigale V2 SP, which we’ll cover separately. With a $48,000 MSRP, the 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 SP has an MSRP almost up to par with the $49,995 Ducati Panigale V4 R, designed with WorldSBK championships in mind.
The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 SP is based on the new Panigale V4 platform but is a numbered, limited-edition model with solutions developed for WorldSBK and MotoGP, including those from the V4 R that dominated the 2026 WorldSBK season. As a result, this track-ready superbike combines features from the V4 R homologation special and the uber-exclusive Superleggera into a Sport Production model. It follows a formula established by earlier SP and SP2 Ducati sportbikes.
The V4 SP carries the 209-horsepower 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, which now breathes through a revised front air vent. Ducati will also offer an Akrapovič Pro full-racing exhaust that adds 11 hp and 5.16 lb-ft of torque while shaving 14.5 pounds.
More notably, the V4 engine is mated to the new Ducati Racing Gearbox with Neutral Lock, first introduced on the Panigale V4 R. This gearbox uses a racing shift pattern that places neutral below first gear to prevent accidental neutral shifts.
There’s also the STM EVO-SBK dry clutch, which is said to offer a more efficient anti-hop function and smoother throttle-off transitions than the V4 S. It also allows the use of Ducati Corse Performance Oil, which boosts power by 3.5 hp. Ducati says the bidirectional quickshifter also uses the V4 R’s calibrations. Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a DID ERV7 racing chain used by factory teams; it’s 0.3 pounds lighter than the V4 S’ chain.
Ducati has added a new aerodynamic package homologated for the WorldSBK Championship. The winglets are 20mm wider than the V4’s and generate 25 percent more downforce at 168 mph, or 13.2 pounds at 186 mph. It also features Corner Sidepods introduced on the V4 R, which improve cornering performance.
Other upgrades include an adjustable rear link, also derived from the V4 R, along with carbon fiber wheels that shave 2.1 pounds compared to the V4 S’ forged aluminum wheels. There are milled aluminum adjustable rider foot pegs and a numbered top triple clamp.
Apart from the upgrades mentioned above, the Panigale V4 SP retains the V4 S’ equipment. This includes an aluminum monocoque frame with Ohlins Smart EC3.0 electronic suspension, as well as a Brembo braking setup with dual radial-mount Hypure calipers and an MCS 19.21 master cylinder.
Electronics include a 6.9-inch TFT display, cruise control, lap timer, and pit limiter. In addition, safety features include riding modes, power modes, slide control, cornering ABS, vehicle hold control, Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), wheelie control, engine brake control, race brake control, and tire calibration.
The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 SP comes in Winter Test livery, with matte black base, red highlights and a brushed aluminum fuel tank. Ducati has announced a $48,000 MSRP, though dealership arrival is still unconfirmed.
